Sir Ralph was Chairman of Rolls-Royce plc from 1992 to 2003,
during which time he played a pivotal role in the agreement that
secured the future of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and the establishment of
its Home at Goodwood.

He went on to serve as a non-executive director of Rolls-Royce
Motor Cars from 2003, the year in which the first motor car was
hand-finished at Goodwood, and was a guiding presence through the
marque’s modern renaissance and the years that followed. A Chartered
Engineer and the holder of numerous professional and academic honours,
he brought a depth of technical insight to bear on many of the
marque’s innovations and continued in his non-executive role until
very recently.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars extends its sincere condolences to Lady
Robins, their two daughters and Sir Ralph’s entire family at this sad time.

Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor
Cars, said: “Sir Ralph was instrumental in the renaissance of
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars at Goodwood, and remained a trusted counsel
and steady hand in the years that followed in his capacity as a

British industry and to UK plc was profound; he was, in every sense,
one of the great engineers and business leaders of his generation.
He will be deeply missed by all of us at the Home of Rolls-Royce.”

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced the appointment
of John Beckley as Regional Director for the United Kingdom, Europe
and Central Asia, effective 1 January 2026.

John brings deep strategic and operational experience across

importance of a region that encompasses the marque’s home market and a
diverse group of established and emerging luxury markets.

John began his career with the BMW Group in 1996 as an
apprentice technician at a BMW dealership in the United Kingdom,
progressing through the technical ranks, which saw him become one of
the lead Field Product Engineers for BMW UK, later joining Rolls-Royce
Motor Cars in 2008 as an Aftersales Manager. Since then, he has
successfully transitioned to the sales side of our business and has
held a series of senior roles across the business, including Regional
Head of Sales, Global Bespoke General Manager and most recently Global
Sales Steering and Performance roles. He also played a central role in
the highly successful launch of Cullinan, extending the Rolls-Royce
portfolio to clients seeking a different expression of Rolls-Royce.

He succeeds Boris Weletzky, who moves within the BMW Group to
take up a senior role in the Motorrad division in Munich. Prior to

Dream’ are one of the many ways the company invests in the future of
its community and future talent – helping to shape the leaders,
innovators, and craftspeople of tomorrow.

VOICES FROM THE PROGRAMME

Lydia Woodroff, HR Sustainability Business Partner at
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said:
“At Rolls-Royce, we believe that
investing in young people is one of the most meaningful ways we can
support our local community. ‘Dare to Dream’ gives students the tools
and encouragement to see what’s possible – not just in their careers,
but in themselves. It’s a pleasure to be part of their journey and to
help open doors to futures they may not have imagined.”

Kristi Challen, Mentor at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars,
said:
“It’s been a real privilege working alongside the ‘Dare to
Dream’ foundation and the young people that it reaches. As a mentor,
it’s given me the opportunity to provide guidance, encouragement and
support to pupils in both their personal and educational lives, as
they develop the tools to unlock their full potential. It’s been
especially rewarding to witness their growth as they’ve overcome
challenges, built upon their confidence and develop essential life
skills that they will take forward.”

Jack Hayes, Programme Leader at the LoveLocalJobs Foundation,
said:
“Once again, the support we have received from Rolls-Royce
Motor Cars has been truly outstanding. If it were not for their
backing, three Year 9 cohorts across three different secondary schools
would not have received ‘Dare to Dream’ and the powerful messages of
empowerment it delivers. This support from one of the world’s most
prestigious brands shows just how much they care about the aspirations
and wellbeing of the next generation who are growing up in
Rolls-Royce’s home of West Sussex.”

Joanne Skinner, Teacher at Ormiston Six Villages Academy,
added:
“The students who took part in this year’s ‘Dare to Dream’
gained so much from it – from the group work to the assemblies and
especially the workplace visit. They all spoke so positively about the
experience. We look forward to the next ‘Dare to Dream’.”

And from a student at Chichester Free School:
“I’ve had a
great time with this programme. It was engaging and fun. I liked the
tour – it was eye-opening – and the mentor talks were exciting and
different. The mentors were kind and understanding.”

Press Contact: Marius Tegneby
Tel: +447815246106
E-mail: marius.tegneby@rolls-roycemotorcars.com

Corporate,People,Press Release

Guests included Jess Brown-Fuller, MP for Chichester

Application window for 2025 Rolls-Royce Apprenticeships remains
open until 31 March

“Apprenticeships play a vital role in developing the
skilled workforce of the future. The combination of hands-on training,
work experience and nationally recognised qualifications provides a
fantastic pathway to a fulfilling career for young people seeking
alternatives to conventional further and higher education. This event,
the first of its kind we’ve organised, recognised the immense
contribution of our former Apprentices, who’ve gone on to become
leaders, innovators and role models here at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
It’s been a real pleasure to invite them to share their experiences
and insights – particularly the importance of fostering connections,
building networks and exchanging ideas – with the next generation of
Apprentices through their new Alumni Network. We are incredibly proud
of them, and we look forward to seeing this Network grow and develop.”
Mark Adams, Director of Human Resources, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars marked National Apprenticeship Week
[10-16 February 2025] by inviting alumni from its own highly regarded
apprenticeship scheme to a special event at Goodwood on Friday 14
February, an occasion that also marked the first event for
Rolls-Royce’s newly formed Apprentice Alumni group.

As well as catching up with old friends and former colleagues,
the alumni met and shared experiences with current Apprentices,
introducing them to the network group they have established to help
apprentices at all stages and levels form connections across the business.

The Rolls-Royce Apprenticeship Scheme has been running since
2006 and is one of the most prestigious and highly sought-after in the
UK. At present, 95 young people are combining practical training at
Goodwood with study for nationally recognised qualifications,
including NVQs and degrees, with local further and higher education
partners. On completing their programme, which runs for between two
and four years, some may be offered further higher-level training, or
a permanent position with the company; others choose to use their
skills and experience to pursue opportunities in other industries and
settings. The team at Goodwood currently includes 133 staff, some now
at supervisory and management level, who began their careers as Apprentices.

This special event celebrated the contribution of the many
former apprentices who mentor and support those who have followed them
onto the programme. They are enthusiastic ambassadors and advocates
for the value of Apprenticeships and the unique experience they
provide. They are also the foundation of a network that all
Apprentices are encouraged to be part of, through which they make
business-wide connections and friendships that prove invaluable in
their everyday work and career development. This process begins even
before they start their training at Goodwood, with an outdoor
adventure break alongside their counterparts from other sites across
the BMW Group.

Among the guests was Jess Brown-Fuller, MP for Chichester since
July 2024. Commenting during the event, she said: “Apprenticeships
play a key role in making careers accessible to those who choose not
to pursue a traditional route in an education setting. It was
wonderful to be a part of the celebration of apprentices, past and
present, at Rolls Royce and see the passion and enthusiasm for the
endless opportunities provided to those seeking a career in the
company. I was particularly inspired by the young women who are
exploring a career in manufacturing, supported and mentored by other
women who have been through the apprenticeship programme."

Apprenticeships form an essential component of the Rolls-Royce
Future Talent Programme, which also includes Internships for
undergraduates and a Graduate scheme for those who have completed
their degree.

The application window for the 2025 Apprenticeship programme is
open until 31 March 2025. Applications are welcome from young people
with a wide range of prior experience, interests and educational
backgrounds. Most Apprenticeships will begin in August 2025, with
opportunities available in a range of specialisms and at levels from
NVQ Level 2 (two years, GCSE equivalent) to Level 6 (four years,
equivalent to undergraduate degree). Applications can be made online,
“Our scheme offers graduates incredible opportunities to build
networks and skills, gain unique experience and explore their own
capabilities, motivations, ambitions and future direction. There’s
real scope to shape their own career; the more willing they are to
learn, try new things and push their own boundaries, the more their
role will expand to fit them. The successful candidates will have
shown their potential in academia: we’ll overlay it with world-class
industry experience to give them a huge advantage in a very
challenging, competitive employment climate."

Mark Adams, Director of Human Resources, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce is pleased to announce that the
application window for its prestigious Graduate Programme is open from
today, Friday 11 October 2024. The application window will remain open
until Friday 15 November.

A key component of the Rolls-Royce Future Talent programme,
which also includes Internships and Apprenticeships, the Graduate
scheme is one of the most respected and prestigious of its kind in the
UK. Since it was established in 2007, more than 150 talented young
people have taken part, with many going on to secure successful
careers with Rolls-Royce, BMW Group and other major employers.

For the 2025 intake, Rolls-Royce has roles available in Sales
Operations, Product Management, Assembly Quality Management, Technical
Planning, Brand Strategy & Communications, Launch & Change
Management and Ownership Services.

During their two years with the company, successful candidates
will become integral members of their team, and can expect to put
their research, reporting and analytical skills to good use. They'll
also be working in a highly creative environment, in which they'll be
expected to speak up, challenge existing thinking and bring fresh
ideas and energy to their work.

The Rolls-Royce culture of excellence means that focus, drive,
determination and an ability to work to the highest standards are as
important as an applicant's academic credentials. Graduates who
challenge themselves, seize opportunities and are willing to try new
things will find their role expands to fit their ambitions, in an
environment where everyone supports and appreciates each other. That
sense of community helps individuals forge lasting and invaluable
connections across teams and departments within The Home of
Rolls-Royce at Goodwood, and beyond into Rolls-Royce operations
worldwide and other BMW Group brands.

Phil Turner, now working for Rolls-Royce as Bespoke Engineering
and Innovations Manager, completed his graduate programme in 2010. “I
loved art and design at school, but my teachers thought I had the
skills for engineering having studied Maths and Physics, so I decided
to take it on as a career path. Little did I know that one day I would
be able to combine my artistic interests with my technical expertise
here at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars,” he explained. “The best thing about
the graduate programme is that you have two years to really explore
your potential. You enter the business with a set of skills and
qualifications, and are encouraged to network and gain valuable
connections, insight and knowledge – all of which may help you explore
new avenues and discover potential you didn’t even know you had.”

Emily Firman joined the Graduate programme in 2023. Now in her
second year, she's just started a three-month placement in the Brand
Strategy team, as part of her role in Retail Development and
Enablement. “This really is the Rolls-Royce of graduate schemes. With
opportunities to work abroad and get involved in events such as the
Festival of Speed, a strong mentoring programme and access to benefits
like the company car scheme, there really is nothing to match it,” she
says. “It's very flexible, allowing you to choose which departments
you work with and helping you shape your own career. The company
provides you with all the support you need as you begin your career,
helping you to reach your full potential as a young professional. I
can’t wait to see where the programme takes me next!”

In addition to Graduate roles, Rolls-Royce is also offering
around 100 paid internships again in 2025. Students from universities
across the UK complete a 13-month industrial placement at Goodwood,
with roles available across all parts of the business next year.
Applications for Internships are also now open: for details of these
and other opportunities through the Future Talent programme, please

Motor Cars. His wealth of experience and creativity have instructed
our future aesthetic direction. Anders will be greatly missed by the
global Rolls-Royce family, but I know he will thrive in his new
role. To build on Anders’ achievements and take our thrilling future
motor cars into the next era, we’re delighted to welcome Domagoj
Dukec to the Home of Rolls-Royce. I know he will find great
inspiration in realising our clients’ dreams and aspirations, while
working closely with the immensely creative and talented Rolls-Royce
design team. I wish both Anders and Domagoj well in their new roles.”

Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has today announced a change to its
senior leadership team with Domagoj Dukec taking over from Anders
Warming as the marque’s Director of Design from 1 October 2024.

During Anders Warming’s tenure as Director of Design,
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars successfully launched Spectre, a bold evolution
of Cullinan and a new expression of Phantom. In line with the marque’s
commitment to Bespoke, including Coachbuild, being a vital strategic
cornerstone for future success, Anders also oversaw the four
magnificent and unique coachbuilt Droptail models and a number of
exquisite Private Collection cars. On 1 October, Anders will take on a
new role within the BMW Group, where he will be responsible for
advanced design topics, as well as BMW Group Designworks.

Domagoj Dukec (49) will join Rolls-Royce Motor Cars as Director
of Design, assuming overall responsibility for all design topics,
including Bespoke design, an area which is in more demand than ever
from the marque’s highly discerning clients through the expanding
network of Private Office boutiques and the brand’s global showroom
presence. Domagoj brings more than 20 years of experience in senior
design positions, including the last five years as Head of Design for
BMW. Born in Frankfurt with Croatian roots, Domagoj trained at the
Pforzheim School of Design in Germany before embarking on an
international career which has included several years spent at design
studios in Paris, Barcelona and São Paulo.

ROLLS-ROYCE DESIGN: TAKING THE BEST THAT EXISTS AND MAKING IT BETTER

The fundamental design principles of Sir Henry Royce himself
have guided Rolls-Royce Motor Cars for over 100 years. Throughout its
120-year history, the company has pushed the boundaries of luxury,
creating new realities both within and beyond automotive design.

The marque’s design philosophy is built on enduring principles
that free designers to innovate and create the brand’s greatest
visions whilst ensuring a Rolls-Royce is always recognisable, even if
you can’t see the unique Pantheon grille or Spirit of Ecstasy mascot.

To this day, three lines harmonise to create a form that is
always unquestionably Rolls-Royce: the waft line – the classic
character side line that emphasises the motor car’s dynamism; the
waistline, imparting a sense of purpose; and the silhouette: striking,
powerful and iconic. Negotiating the space between retaining the
marque’s distinctive presence while ensuring a Rolls-Royce motor car
is both timeless and of its time is therefore a challenging yet
fascinating brief.

Press Contact: Andrew Ball
Tel: +44-1243-384-064
E-mail: andrew.ball@rolls-roycemotorcars.com

Corporate,People,Press Release

Gunther Boehner, Director of Manufacturing, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has welcomed its new intake of
Apprentices, with 31 talented young people set to spend between two

“I also thank our outgoing Director of Finance, Timo Poser, for

joining the marque in early 2020, Timo played a crucial role in the
marque’s development and growth, including steering the development
and implementation of our corporate strategy and playing a leading
role in our site extension project, which was granted planning
permission earlier this year.

“I wish both Timo and Werner well in their new roles.”

Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced that Werner
Lulay will take up the role of Director of Finance, effective from 1
August 2024.

Throughout his almost quarter-century-long career, Werner has
held a number of leadership and management roles, focusing on
strategic planning, global plant development and financial
controlling. He was in charge of financial controlling for the global
Production Division of BMW Group, before moving to be financial
controller of the Group’s Development Division in 2021, a position
which also saw him oversee portfolio controlling for Rolls-Royce.

In his new role, Werner is based at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ Head
Office and Global Centre of Luxury Manufacturing Excellence at
Goodwood, West Sussex. Now that planning permission has been granted
for a significant plant extension at Goodwood, one of Werner’s first
major tasks will be steering the financial aspects of that
development, as the marque builds for its future success. Rolls-Royce
contributes well over half a billion pounds to the UK economy
annually, 20% of which is within West Sussex and adjoining counties.

Wernergraduated from Technical University Munich with a PhD from
the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management in 1999
before joining BMW Group in 2000.

He succeeds Timo Poser, who will take on the role of Chief
Financial Officer at BMW Motorrad, based in Munich. In his four years
at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Timo steered the planning and
implementation of the marque’s highly successful corporate strategy,
as well as making a significant contribution to the continuing success
of the brand. A major factor in that success is the increased
strategic focus on Rolls-Royce Bespoke and Coachbuild projects; it is
to enable these to develop still further that the marque is planning a
major extension to its site at Goodwood, the building of which is
expected to begin in 2025, following the granting of planning
permission earlier this year.

Press Contact: Marius Tegneby
Tel: +447815246106
E-mail: marius.tegneby@rolls-roycemotorcars.com

People,Press Release

This event, which was inspired by feedback from current Apprentices, aims to make the transition easier for our new intake, by giving them a chance to familiarise themselves with the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood and get to know us a little better before their official start date in August. We hope that signing their contracts and meeting managers in a less formal, social setting help take away some of the understandable nerves! We also feel it’s important to involve family members, as their support contributes to our Apprentices’ success in so many ways.”
Mark Adams, Director of Human Resources, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has welcomed its new intake of Apprentices and their families to the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood.

During a special social and networking event, successful applicants for the 2024 Rolls-Royce Apprenticeship programme signed their contracts, toured the plant, met managers, made connections and gained an overview of what they can expect from their time at Rolls-Royce ahead of their formal start date on 22 August 2024.

The event, which was inspired by feedback from the current cohort of Apprentices, was also an opportunity for their relatives to learn more about where their family members will be working, the tasks they will be undertaking and the training they will receive.

The new Apprentices all passed a carefully managed selection process, including face-to-face interviews, to match them to the most appropriate role based on their preferred learning style and future career aspirations. The new intake will be working in many areas of the business, including assembly and craft, commercial, administrative and non-production roles.

Alongside their practical work-based training, Apprentices will gain nationally recognised qualifications from Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) to Level 6 (undergraduate) through local further and higher education providers.

The Apprenticeship Programme has run every year since 2006, with numbers increasing year-on-year from 11 to the 32 who will be joining the company this year.
“Welcoming a new cohort of interns to the Home of Rolls-Royce
at Goodwood is always very special. We’re inspired and excited by
their potential, commitment and enthusiasm. The interns will spend
13 months learning from our experienced team, but their fresh ideas
and perspectives mean we also learn a lot from them. Our Future
Talent Programme is central to the long-term future of our business,
and many of our interns return to the business following the
completion of their university studies. I have no doubt that the
‘class of 2024-25’ will be no different. We’re delighted to welcome
our new colleagues and we look forward to watching them grow and
develop with us.”

Mark Adams, Director of Human Resources, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has welcomed the company’s
intern ‘class of 2024-25’ to the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood to
embark on an enriching 13-month programme. The 90 new arrivals are all
undergraduates, studying a variety of degree courses at universities
around the UK.

During their 13 months with Rolls-Royce, the interns will work
alongside experienced Engineers and Bespoke Designers, as well as
professionals in departments including Finance, Sales and Marketing,
IT, Human Resources and Corporate Communications.

To ease the transition from academia to the workplace, the new
interns were invited to the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood for a
networking day earlier this year. This event was led by the current
intern cohort who offered their new colleagues an opportunity to learn
more about the Internship Programme. The event also allowed the new
intake to meet their future managers, teammates and peers, building
relationships and making connections ahead of their formal start date.

While an internship does not guarantee a job with the company in
the future, many return after graduating to build long-term careers
with Rolls-Royce, going on to take up supervisory, management and
leadership roles. One example is Luke Strudwick, who joined
Rolls-Royce in 2017 as an intern with the Communications team. After
completing his degree, he was formally hired as a Corporate
Communications Executive, progressing first to Global Product
Communications Manager and later HR Planning & Steering Business
Partner. Luke was appointed Sustainability and Corporate
Communications Manager earlier this year, and will be acting as mentor
himself to one of the new intake.

“The Internship Programme at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is incredibly
rewarding, and it has provided me with the skills, confidence and
business acumen to allow me to progress in my career. The support
and responsibility provided to interns, along with the experience of
working for such a prestigious marque has supported my development
and resulted in me further progressing my career within the company.”

Luke Strudwick,
Sustainability and Corporate Communications Manager,
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

The Internship Programme has run every year since the
company began production at Goodwood in 2003, with numbers increasing
year on year. It forms a key element of the Rolls-Royce Future Talent
Programme, which also offers Apprenticeships, including Degree
options, and a Graduate scheme.

Rolls-Royce is committed to investing in and supporting
individuals from all walks of life to achieve their professional

year. The talented apprentices that have successfully made it onto
our prestigious programme have a great deal of experience to offer
young people seeking guidance. The ability for pupils to share their
concerns, experiences and aspirations with those already in work is
a huge confidence booster as they approach their GCSE choices.”

Mark Adams, Director of Human Resources, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has recently celebrated its
fourth consecutive year of participation in Dare to Dream, a mentoring
scheme designed to help pupils realise their potential and overcome
their personal barriers to success.

During the current school year, 15 volunteers from across the
company have acted as mentors to Year 9 pupils from Chichester Free
School, Bourne Community College and Ormiston Six Villages Academy,
all local to the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood.

Each mentor collaborates with three pupils who are grappling
with challenges impacting their personal lives, academic advancement
and future career decisions. Across a series of three sessions, the
mentors share their own experiences and strive to learn more about the
pupils’ perspectives on life. Together, they explore and challenge the
pupils’ beliefs about themselves and the world around them.

For the first time, Rolls-Royce apprentices participated in the
mentorship programme, sharing their knowledge and experiences with the
young people involved. This insight proved to be particularly
beneficial, with the apprentices close in age and relatable to the
school pupils taking part. The shared experiences and perspectives of
the Rolls-Royce apprentices allowed them to connect with the mentees,
fostering meaningful conversations and providing guidance that
resonated strongly with the young participants.

By encouraging pupils to think beyond the confines of their
school and home environments, the mentorship programme can inspire
aspirational ideas and motivate them to grapple with what lies ahead.
Through sharing their own personal journeys, which have not always
adhered to traditional educational and career paths, the mentors
demonstrate that doors are not permanently closed.

Samantha Savage, Year 9 Leader, Bourne Community College, says:
“We are so very grateful to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars for the amazing
opportunity for our students; to work closely with the ‘Dare to Dream’
team, the time our students spent at the Home of Rolls-Royce at
Goodwood and the mentorship support visits to our school. The whole
programme has been exceptional. The opportunity to work closely with
professionals at Rolls-Royce has demonstrated excellence at the
workplace in an unfamiliar environment. The difference in students’
attitudes to the world of work has been noticeable. The students
returned buzzing with excitement, inspired by potential career
pathways. This is wholly down to the hard work and dedication of
everyone involved in this project. Students’ hopes and aspirations for
the future have already risen and we are looking forward to watching
them grow even more.”

Maddison Headland, an apprentice at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars,
said, “I chose to become a Dare to Dream mentor as I think it is
important for young people to understand what they are capable of
achieving. The programme allows them to see that despite any setbacks
they are facing in their educational or personal life, they can push
through and come out the other side.”

Lydia Woodroff, HR Sustainability Business Partner, Rolls-Royce
Motor Cars, coordinates the project at Rolls-Royce. She says, “We were
thrilled to maintain our support of the Dare to Dream programme this
year and witness the continued positive impact it has had on the
selected participants throughout the programme. The mentees had the
chance to meet some of our Apprentices and observe how we foster
people’s early career development. They also watched the vehicle
manufacturing process and experienced a ‘customer reveal’ event,
culminating in being photographed in a Rolls-Royce Phantom. We’re
grateful for this opportunity to showcase the diverse range of skills
utilised within our organisation, as well as the variety of roles we offer.”

Press Contact: Andrew Ball
Tel: +44-1243-384-064
E-mail: andrew.ball@rolls-roycemotorcars.com

Corporate,People,Press Release

“Since 2018, Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer has completely transformed our
mindset and attitude - how we work together, how we understand and
interact with our clients and the experiences we offer them. He
leaves Rolls-Royce a better place, with his enduring legacy of
innovation, progress and achievement in client engagement, product
development and consistency in the way our marque presents itself
around the world. To build on Henrik’s work, we’re delighted to
welcome Julian Jenkins back to Goodwood. Like Charles Rolls, Julian
originally studied engineering but found his true vocation as a
consummate sales, marketing and product professional. His luxury
experience, strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication
skills make him exceptionally well placed to build on Henrik’s
achievements. These are exciting times for all of us, and we wish
both Henrik and Julian well in their new roles.”

Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

An uncompromising, unceasing desire to ensure the
highest levels of truly personal client engagement and absolute
consistency in how Rolls-Royce presents itself around the world are
central pillars of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ strength and ongoing
success as a company. Today, Rolls-Royce announces that the architect
of many initiatives which drive these aspects, Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer,
is relinquishing his role as Director of Sales & Brand after six
years with the company. From 1 March, Henrik will take up a new senior
position within the BMW Group, where he’ll play a leading role shaping
the brand’s future high-end luxury cars.

Henrik came to Rolls-Royce’s global headquarters at Goodwood in
2018, having previously been the marque’s Regional Director for the
Greater China region. During his tenure, he led the product
development, sales and marketing campaigns for business-critical model
launches including Cullinan, Ghost, Phantom Series II and, most
recently, Spectre. He also played a central role in making Coachbuild
a permanent fixture within the Rolls-Royce portfolio.

Committed to consistency in all things, Henrik transformed the
marque’s mindset and attitude. In particular, he fundamentally
reshaped how Rolls-Royce understands and interacts with its clients
and the experiences it offers them. He brought a more focused,
individualised, disciplined and data-driven approach to client
engagement, for example with the invitation-only Whispers app for
Rolls-Royce owners. Under Henrik’s leadership, Rolls-Royce developed a
new Visual Identity, currently being rolled out at dealer partners
worldwide. The marque also extended its hugely successful Goodwood
Private Office concept to Dubai and Shanghai, with two more following
this year. Thanks in part to these Private Offices, 2023 was a record
year in terms of both number and value for the marque’s unrivalled
Bespoke programme.

Henrik’s successor from 1 March will be Julian Jenkins. Julian
is a well-known figure within Rolls-Royce, having previously spent six
years at Goodwood, first as General Manager, Sales Operations, then as
Regional Director for the Europe. A former President of Aston Martin
Lagonda in the Americas, and holder of senior roles at Bentley in
North America and the Asia-Pacific region, he makes a welcome return
to the Home of Rolls-Royce after serving as Sales Director of BMW UK,
and most recently Chief Commercial Officer at Italian supercar
manufacturer Bizzarrini, where he played a crucial role in driving
revenue growth and shaping the commercial success of the company.
Julian’s international experience, product expertise and deep
knowledge of the luxury sector ensure he is perfectly placed to take
Rolls-Royce forward towards its all-electric future.

Press Contact: Andrew Ball
Tel: +44-1243-384-064
E-mail: andrew.ball@rolls-roycemotorcars.com

Corporate,People,Press Release

for people interested in administration, support and commercial
roles as well as craft and manufacturing, so you don't need to be a
STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics)
specialist to apply – but if you are, this is definitely one of the
best places in the world to pursue your interest in engineering and
technology. With qualifications available from Level 2 right up to
Level 6, we have Apprenticeships suitable for everyone; from those
leaving school at 16, to those seeking an alternative to a
traditional university course. We look forward to receiving
applications and meeting prospective candidates over the coming weeks.”

Mark Adams, Director of Human Resources, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Applications for the 2024 Rolls-Royce Apprenticeship
Programme are now open, the company has confirmed.

Part of the Rolls-Royce Future Talent programme, which also
includes Internships and Graduate Placements, the Apprenticeship
scheme has run every year since 2006 and is one of the most respected
and prestigious of its kind in the UK. It offers successful candidates
unrivalled practical training and professional development, working
alongside experienced specialists at the Home of Rolls-Royce. In
addition to their work-based training, Apprentices gain nationally
recognised qualifications through further and higher education
providers around the local area.

This year, the company is offering Level 2 Apprenticeships –
particularly suitable for those leaving school after GCSEs – in the
Interior Trim Centre, Technical Assembly, Sewing, Interior Surface
Centre and Robot Operations. There are also Level 3 (A-level
equivalent) opportunities in Milling Machining, Exterior Surface
Centre and Assembly Test & Finish.

For those seeking an alternative to the traditional university
route after A-levels, Level 6 Degree Apprenticeships are available in
technical areas including Digitalisation, Product Development,
Technical Planning, Quality and Production Control and Assembly Quality.

Rolls-Royce is keen to emphasise that it has Apprenticeships
suitable for people with a wide range of prior experience, interests
and educational backgrounds. As well as catering for those keen to
pursue STEAM careers, the company is looking for candidates interested
in commercial, administrative and non-production roles. This year, for
example, it is recruiting at Level 3 in Logistics, and for Level 6
Degree Apprenticeships in Marketing Regional Sales & Business.

At the end of their initial training, Apprentices may be invited
to extend their time at Goodwood and study for more advanced
qualifications. Candidates who attain consistently high standards
throughout their training may be offered a permanent job with the company.

This year’s application window is now open. Candidates are
encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as places are limited and
demand is always extremely high. The deadline to apply for each role
varies, with some closing as early as 25 February. The company may
also close applications for particular roles early if it has already
received sufficient applications before the final closing date.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced today that Torsten
Müller-Ötvös is to retire as its Chief Executive Officer on 30
November 2023. He will be succeeded by Chris Brownridge, currently
Chief Executive Officer of BMW UK.

Torsten joined Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in 2010, making him the
company’s longest-serving Chief Executive since Claude Johnson, the
man known as 'the hyphen in Rolls-Royce'.

Commenting on the announcement, Torsten said, “Leading
Rolls-Royce for almost 14 years has been the greatest privilege and
pleasure of my professional life. To have grown the company and its
world-class people to the position it is in today, at the pinnacle
of the luxury industry, has been a remarkable adventure. I am proud
of the role my exceptional team and I have played in contributing
significantly to the UK economy and to the global recognition of
Britain’s ability to produce the world’s best luxury products.”

Oliver Zipse, BMW Group Chief Executive, said,
“Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a jewel in the crown of our
organisation. Torsten’s outstanding leadership, unswerving
commitment, clear vision and exceptional ability to build a strong,
focused team have helped make Rolls-Royce the world-class luxury
brand it is today. We wish him the very best for his future endeavours.”

Under Torsten’s leadership, Rolls-Royce has been
transformed from an automotive manufacturer to a true luxury house,
revered worldwide for its exquisite motor cars, unparalleled Bespoke
capabilities and deep understanding of the needs, tastes and desires
of its international clients.

That transformation has translated into a remarkable commercial
success. Annual sales have surged from around 1,000 motor cars in 2009
to over 6,000 in 2022. More importantly, each and every Rolls-Royce
that leaves the company’s Global Centre of Luxury Manufacturing
Excellence in Goodwood, West Sussex, is Bespoke: it has been made to
the specific wishes of the client who has commissioned it.

Through this constant focus on Bespoke, which is realised
through the finest handcraftsmanship coupled with artistic and
technical creativity and innovation, Rolls-Royce is undoubtedly a
leader in the luxury sector. During Torsten’s tenure, the marque has
produced some of its most historic one-of-one motor cars, including
several co-created with the world’s leading artists, fashion designers
and luxury houses. Bespoke finds its ultimate expression in the
company’s Coachbuild department, which reawakened traditional
coachbuilding practices for a new era in 2017, most recently seen in
the remarkable Droptail, unveiled in August.

When Torsten took up his appointment, Goodwood produced just two
models, Phantom and Ghost. Under his leadership, Rolls-Royce Wraith
and Dawn were introduced, as was Rolls‑Royce Cullinan, the first SUV
in the marque’s history. This year sees the introduction of Spectre,
the world’s first ultra-luxury electric super coupé that begins the
marque’s transition to a fully electric product portfolio by the end
of 2030. Torsten also saw Black Badge, the edgier, more subversive
Rolls-Royce alter-ego, conceived and launched – a bold venture that
has broadened the brand’s appeal significantly.

The introduction of new models to the Rolls-Royce product
portfolio, the expansion of Bespoke and the clear strategic shift into
the super-luxury sector have been driving factors in the company’s
renaissance and ongoing business success, attracting a new generation
of clients to the marque. In 2010, the average price of a Rolls-Royce
was around €250,000 and the average client was aged 56; today, the
average price has doubled to around €500,000 and the average age of a
Rolls-Royce client is just 43.

The marque’s rejuvenation is part of a wide reshaping of the
luxury industry over the past decade. Torsten’s leadership has centred
on a willingness to not only participate in this change but to lead
it, embracing new technologies and thinking based on the marque’s
unique understanding of its clients’ tastes and desires. This is
demonstrated in how Rolls-Royce brings the brand directly to its
clients around the world, both physically in the form of new Private
Office boutiques, and virtually with the marque’s Whispers app – a
digital members’ club reserved for those who own a Goodwood-era Rolls-Royce.

Torsten said, “Whether in person or virtually on Whispers,
spending so much time with our clients - the inspirational people
upon whom the marque is built - has been one of my greatest joys and
a true education, giving me a clear, unique and finely attuned
understanding of how luxury is defined around the world.”

The success of Rolls-Royce under Torsten’s leadership is
such that the company now contributes over half a billion pounds to
the UK economy every year. It is also one of the largest employers in
West Sussex: the exceptional team working at the Home of Rolls-Royce
at Goodwood has grown from around 300 to more than 2,500, with over 50
nationalities represented.

Further commenting on today’s announcement, Torsten said, “I
believe the company is ready to embrace the future with all its
opportunities. We have recently submitted our plans to extend our
Goodwood site significantly in order to accommodate not only further
electric production, but also to fulfil demand for even more Bespoke
and Coachbuild products. These areas of our business truly set us
apart, and I am exceptionally proud of them.

As I leave Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, I look forward to the
opportunity for new professional challenges, as well as having a
little more time to visit the world’s great fly-fishing rivers! I
wish Chris Brownridge the very best as he takes the helm of this
wonderful marque. The team we have built over the last 14 years
includes some of the most talented, dedicated and innovative minds
in the luxury and automotive industries. I’m confident that,
together, they will add further remarkable chapters to the
extraordinary story of a company like no other in the world.”

Chris Brownridge joins Rolls-Royce Motor Cars from his
current role as Chief Executive Officer of BMW UK, a position he has
held since 2021. Commenting on his appointment, Oliver Zipse said,
“Chris Brownridge is a hugely experienced professional with a
tremendous track record – I am sure he will build on Rolls-Royce’s
success and guide Rolls-Royce Motor Cars onwards into its
all-electric future.”

Chris is a true sales and marketing expert, having spent
almost 30 years with the BMW Group, starting as a graduate in 1995.
Prior to his current position of CEO, Chris has been a member of the
UK Board in various roles since 2011, including Sales Director BMW UK,
BMW UK Marketing and MINI Regional Director for UK and Ireland.

Chris said, “I’m both honoured and humbled by my new
appointment. To be invited to lead this great British brand, at such
a pivotal moment in its long and remarkable story, is an
extraordinary privilege. Rolls-Royce is one of the world’s most
recognised, desirable and influential brands, and I’m keenly aware
of the enormous affection and esteem in which it’s held. It’s a
tribute to its magnificent products, the close relationships it
maintains with its clients and, above all, to the exceptional team
I’m about to join. I’m also conscious of the incredible heritage of
which we are the proud custodians, and that everything we do builds
on and adds to that unique legacy.

“I’m fortunate to be following Torsten as CEO. Through his vision
and ambition for the brand over 14 years, Rolls-Royce is today in an
exceptionally strong position, and full of confidence for the
future. I’m absolutely delighted to be part of the Rolls‑Royce story
and look forward to embracing the challenges and opportunities that
lie ahead for us all.”

Press Contact: Andrew Ball
Tel: +44-1243-384-064
E-mail: andrew.ball@rolls-roycemotorcars.com

Corporate,People,Press Release

“We’ve been involved with Dare to Dream for a number of years
and it’s always been an incredibly rewarding experience for the
young people taking part, and our own team members acting as
mentors. This year has been particularly special, since we were able
to welcome the students on-site at the Home of Rolls-Royce for the
first time since the pandemic. Sharing their concerns, experiences
and aspirations with those already in work is a huge
confidence-booster for these young people as they approach their
GCSE choices. We’re delighted to be able to support them and help
unlock the enormous talent we see in our neighbouring communities.”

Mark Adams, Director of Human Resources, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is delighted to confirm its
continued participation in ##Dare to Dream##, a mentoring
scheme designed to help pupils realise their potential and overcome
their personal barriers to success.

During the 2022-23 school year, 15 volunteers from across the
company have acted as mentors to Year 9 students from Chichester Free
School, Bourne Community College and Ormiston Six Villages Academy,
all close to the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood. The team includes
some who took part in 2022 and have remained involved as ‘super mentors’.

Each mentor works with three students, all of whom are facing
challenges affecting their personal lives, academic progress and
future career choices. Over the course of three sessions, the mentors
share their experiences and thoughts, seek to understand the student’s
outlook on life and explore and challenge what they may believe (or
have been told) about themselves and the world.

Helping the students to think beyond the bounds of school and
home can spark aspirational ideas and the motivation to grapple with
what lies ahead. By sharing their own journeys, which have not always
followed conventional educational and employment paths, the mentors
demonstrate that doors aren’t always closed; opportunities come with
the desire to pursue things they enjoy and are interested in, however bold.

Alison Turnbull, Head of Year 9 at Chichester Free School, says:
“This inspirational, impactful programme makes students aware of a
variety of pathways and opportunities, while giving them the
confidence to believe in themselves and make better-informed decisions
about their future. The visit to Rolls-Royce was an amazing experience
and sparked conversations about alternative post-16 options. Please
don’t stop doing what you’re doing; you really don't know how many
lives you’re changing!”

Dare to Dream supports students at what can be a daunting
time, when they are choosing their GCSEs and feel under pressure to
start formulating long-term education and career plans. Mentors
provide much-needed support at this crucial stage: it can be
especially helpful for students to realise that adults already in the
working world also face challenges and have their own doubts and
uncertainties to deal with.

One participant, who’s in Year 9 at Bourne Community College,
explains: “This was one of the best things I've been able to do yet!
The Rolls-Royce employees were super-friendly and offered a wide
variety of jobs and applications available for passionate and talented
students. The Dare to Dream programme has been amazing and
has improved my confidence and my abilities to overcome challenges in life.”

Previous mentors report seeing a noticeable growth in students’
confidence from one session to the next. As well as encouraging
students to take ownership of pursuing their dreams, the mentors offer
practical coaching, helping them consider what skills they might need
and how they could go about gaining them.

Lydia Woodroff, HR Sustainability Business Partner, Rolls-Royce
Motor Cars, is coordinating the project at Rolls-Royce. She says, “We
were delighted to continue our support of Dare to Dream this
year, and see the programme’s continued impact on the selected
participants over the year. They met some of our Apprentices and saw
how we support people’s early careers; they also watched vehicles
being built and experienced a ‘customer reveal’, culminating in
sitting in a Rolls-Royce Phantom and having their photographs taken as
a souvenir. We’re pleased to have this opportunity to show young
people the range of skills we use here, and the varied roles we make
available to home so close to home.”

Jack ‘The Lad’ Hayes, programme lead from the Love Local Jobs
Foundation adds: “Our work in and around Chichester simply wouldn’t be
possible without the unwavering support of our friends at Rolls-Royce
Motor Cars. For students, knowing that one of the world’s most
prestigious brands wants to support and encourage them makes it a
truly unique experience. As ever, the mentor team at Rolls-Royce Motor
Cars really embraced their role: their work will have a hugely
positive impact on the students they worked with.”

Press Contact: Andrew Ball
Tel: +44-1243-384-064
E-mail: andrew.ball@rolls-roycemotorcars.com

Corporate,People,Press Release

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is extending the deadline for

Applications will now remain open until Sunday 13 March.

The 2022 intake will be the largest since the scheme's inception

apprenticeships for the first time this year. We want to give as many
as possible the space and time they need to weigh up their options and
put together a strong application. We're already looking forward to
starting the selection process and meeting our stars of the future."
MIKE ELDERS: LEATHERSHOP

Graduate Mike was looking for a career change that would give
him new skills and personal development opportunities. One of his
biggest challenges when he first joined the Leathershop was making the
transition from a desk job to working with his hands. That process was
made much easier with the support of his colleagues, whom he now
describes as ‘an extended family’.

Mike has also enjoyed forming connections across different
departments within Rolls-Royce, which has enabled him to pick up
additional skills and knowledge outside his immediate work
environment. Looking back over his time as an Apprentice, he can see
just how far he’s come and the changes he’s undergone, both personally
and professionally. Above all, he has come to appreciate the unique
culture and attitude of the people he works with at Rolls-Royce, and
would definitely recommend the programme to friends and family.

KATIE HOOD: LEATHERSHOP

Katie was already working at Rolls-Royce as a sewing associate
when she found out about the Apprenticeship Programme. She saw it as a
great opportunity to develop her existing skills; the combination of
practical training and vocational education at the local college has
helped her gain a broader and deeper understanding of her role. Every
day brings a new experience, and she says that the time seems to have
flown by.

Through her Apprenticeship, Katie has also developed her
self-confidence and belief in her own abilities. As she’s become more
comfortable with her surroundings and her own place in the team, she’s
been able to put herself forward and take on additional
responsibilities. She believes an Apprenticeship has given her more
opportunities than she would have enjoyed had she gone to university.

ANNA FLYNN: LEATHERSHOP

Anna initially thought she’d like to be a freelance
photographer; but faced with the realities of that highly competitive,
unpredictable and precarious world, she had a change of heart. She
also wanted to learn as many new skills as she could while she was
still young. When her twin brother began his Apprenticeship at
Rolls-Royce, she decided that, as someone who loves all things
automotive, it was the right path for her, too, and successfully applied.

Anna’s greatest challenge was making the leap from school to
working in a professional environment, but she embraced it knowing
there would always be someone to help her. She loves being able to
work with her hands to create beautiful pieces of upholstery; seeing
the finished product gives her a tremendous feeling of satisfaction
and accomplishment. Her time as an Apprentice has given her a real
sense of responsibility and pride in being part of the team, which she
hopes to join permanently once she completes her training.
BRADLEY ‘BRAD’ SMITH: ASSEMBLY PLANNER

A lifelong car enthusiast and motorsport fan, Brad
knew he wanted to pursue a career in the automotive industry. A degree
in mechanical engineering seemed the logical choice; but Brad, who was
already working part-time as a mechanic for a road-racing team, wanted
to get hands-on. The Rolls-Royce Apprenticeship Programme was the
perfect opportunity to immerse himself in the industry, develop his
skills and gain a deeper understanding of the world he loves.

Brad has enjoyed himself enormously working as an Assembly
Planner. He relishes the sheer diversity of the tasks that come his
way every day, each bringing new challenges and experiences to learn
from. He particularly appreciates the constant support from his
colleagues, who he says are always willing to help him out with advice
and suggestions.

SIRAHEI ‘SERJ’ DANILEVICH: ASSEMBLY
Serj was part-way through his engineering degree when he decided
he wanted to explore other options. He heard about the Rolls-Royce
Apprenticeship Programme at a careers event, and was captivated by the
thought of entering the marque’s unique world and culture.

Serj describes working at Rolls-Royce as fun and challenging.
With two years of his Apprenticeship remaining, Serj is taking every
opportunity to learn as many different skills and see as many parts of
the production process as possible. He loves working with his hands on
the cars themselves, and takes great pride in seeing the fruits of his
labours when they roll off the production line.

OLIVER ‘OLI’ GERMAIN: ASSEMBLY

After his GCSEs, Oli was looking at college courses but nothing
felt quite right. When he came across the Apprenticeship Programme at
Rolls-Royce, with its combination of practical training and formal
qualifications, he knew he had found his answer.

The balance of college and work life has proved perfect for Oli.
A passionate automotive enthusiast, he loves working directly with the
cars and has a great sense of pride working for Rolls-Royce. He’s also
been able to put some of his new skills to good use outside work,
where he’s currently restoring his beloved Series III Land Rover. He’s
keen to remain with Rolls-Royce once he’s completed his
Apprenticeship, and has ambitions to move up the leadership ladder
into a managerial role.

Aaron had always wanted to work in engineering. Searching for
jobs online, he came across an advert for the Rolls-Royce
Apprenticeship Programme and decided this would be the perfect
opportunity to get into his chosen field.

Aaron has used his time as an Apprentice to expand his
understanding of the automotive industry, as well as developing and
honing his practical skills. These include important broader life
skills, such as managing his time and working to a tight schedule. He
is also really enjoying being back at college and gaining new,
relevant knowledge to support his day-to-day work.

Carla was already working at Rolls-Royce when her managers
suggested she consider applying for the Apprenticeship Programme.
She’s very glad she took their advice. As an Apprentice, Carla has
been on a journey that’s taken in all the different departments within
the production process, giving her insights into all every aspect of
building the best car in the world.

Carla is dedicated to her work and open to trying as many

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is pleased to announce that applications are
now open for its 2020 Apprenticeship Programme. Now in its 14th year,
the scheme is open to candidates of all ages and backgrounds.

Since its launch in 2006, the principal focus of the Rolls-Royce
Apprenticeship programme has been to provide practical training in the
specialist craft skills required to build ‘the best car in the world’.
Apprentices spend two to four years at the Home of Rolls-Royce in
Goodwood, West Sussex, working alongside the company’s world-class
craftspeople in Assembly, Woodshop, Surface Finish, Leathershop, Parts
Quality and Total Vehicle Quality Management.

Many apprentices go on to take up full-time employment with the
company, often progressing to senior supervisory, technical and
management roles. The Programme also enables candidates to acquire
transferable skills, knowledge and qualifications that broaden their
horizons and employment options, through formal vocational study at
local further education colleges.

The programme was expanded in 2019 with the introduction of the
Sir Ralph Robins Degree Apprenticeship. To complement practical
training, candidates study to degree level, including BEng in
Mechanical Engineering at the University of Chichester’s new
Engineering & Digital Technology Park. The number of places on
offer has doubled for 2020.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce
Motor Cars, said, “Our Apprenticeship Programme is one of our greatest
achievements, providing unique professional and personal development
opportunities for talented people. I am delighted that so many of our
previous apprentices are still with us and it is very satisfying to
know that Rolls-Royce trained craftspeople are contributing to the
wider success of British manufacturing.

“Our Degree Apprenticeships were created in 2019 to recognise
the contribution to the business of Sir Ralph Robins, one of
Rolls-Royce’s Non-Executive Directors. The response was phenomenal:
the volume and quality of applications showed that this new pathway
answered a real need.”

All applicants take part in a rigorous selection process
designed to assess their individual strengths, aptitudes, personal
qualities and potential. Successful candidates will join the company
in August 2020.

The launch is timed to coincide with National Apprenticeship
Week (3-7 February 2020). This year’s event is based on the theme
‘Look Beyond’, and celebrates the diversity and value that
apprenticeships bring to employers, apprentices and communities across
England today.

Candidates for all Apprentice positions should apply online.

Applications close on 15 March 2020.

Press Contact: Andrew Ball
Tel: +44-1243-384-064
E-mail: andrew.ball@rolls-roycemotorcars.com

Corporate,People,Press Release,Home of Rolls-Royce
